My second trip to Ireland within a 5-month span was to Trump International Doonbeg. The purpose of this visit was a TRENDY GOLF photo shoot. From the moment we arrived and drove under the stone arched entry way, we were absolute mesmerized. What a beautiful hotel in such a special place in the world!
The exterior of this hotel is gorgeous overlooking a long beach where you can take a seaside stroll. The setting reminds me of a few areas in the Southern California area where I live. In this scenic area of County Clare, there are a variety of activities on site that are available to the entire family. Very special links golf, 1.5 miles of coastline, fishing ponds, horseback riding, nature adventures cycle rides, shoreline surfing, offshore kayaking, diving, rock climbing, caving and bird watching.
Around the facility activities available include art and crafts, pool room, 12 seat cinema, pirate ship playground and an 18 hole putting green. There’s also a shuttle available to the village Doonbeg.
During your stay, you can’t miss Cliffs of Moher, just a short trip away. We stayed at the Doonbeg Village that is fully equipped with kitchen and many other comforts of home.
Doonbeg’s 18-hole Championship Course alongside Ireland's western shimmering sea opened in 2002 and immediately earned the prestigious title of Golf Digest's best New International course. In 2010 Trump International Doonbeg was awarded European Golf Resort of the year.
Personally, this trip’s memories will last a lifetime. Once again, the Irish charm continues to draw me back and I can’t wait to see where next!
A world renowned championship course spans 1.5 miles of crescent shaped beach and century old sand dunes along Doughmore Bay.
Sweeping views of the breathtaking Irish landscape from the comfort of your room. From Suites, Signature Suites, Cottages, and Guest Rooms. Doonbeg suites and cottages are luxurious self-catering and fully kitchen equipped.
